Summoned. Nurtured. Cradled. Never completely under control. The flames have a will of their own.
From the start, going into shooting fire was always a quest to capture the personality and character we've seen since our primitive days. Is it the human reacting to the flames, or the flames reacting to human presence? Perhaps a bit of both.

Post Production Notes: 100% through the lens. Cropped from original composition. Had to remove a light stand from the upper right hand corner in a few, as it was the only safe location to place it. Fire has not been manipulated in any way.
